CERFER, led by the Colombian-German Chamber of Industry and Commerce (AHK) and the German Energy Agency (dena), drives the energy transition in Colombia through innovative and collaborative education. Its integrative approach promotes technical skills, social empowerment, and strategic partnerships with communities, businesses, and government entities. Through hands-on educational programs and technology transfer, CERFER contributes to sustainable development, supporting employability and entrepreneurship in the energy sector.
Challenge
Update CERFER’s identity to align its image with its educational purpose and role in Colombia’s energy transition, creating a strong and cohesive brand that resonates with its diverse audiences.
Solution
At MarkLovers, we carried out a comprehensive overhaul of CERFER’s visual identity, highlighting its educational purpose and commitment to the energy transition in Colombia. This process included designing a new logo, brand manual, and a consistent graphic identity.
Brand Presence Strengthening
To solidify CERFER’s image, we developed key materials such as corporate stationery, merchandise, and digital assets. These actions ensured effective and professional communication with its diverse audiences.

The Logo
The perfect typography chosen for CERFER is Ibrand Regular, as it meets the standards of stability, readability, and business maturity.
A linear correction is made to the “f” line to align with the line and stability of the previous “r”, while still respecting the “displacement” in the baseline to maintain visual balance.
The Isologo
The CERFER isologo is based on the fusion of several elements that are important to our brand. The “e” represents Empower, Educate, Train. The sun, an essential element for photovoltaic energy, is also incorporated.
The wind turbine represents another form of energy generation. The circular shape and the redundancy of renewable energy symbolize the concept of circular energy. The waves, when combining the isologo, represent not only connection but also the flow of water, an important element in the energy cycle.
Graphic Pattern
The graphic pattern is a corporate element used by CERFER to add dynamism to its advertising materials. It is created through a linear play of the isologo to accompany various formats.
Brand Manual
The rebranding process for CERFER included the creation of a brand manual that established the guidelines for its new visual and communicative identity.
The logo, color palette with gradients, corporate typography, corporate stationery, and various digital elements were designed.
Merchandising
Ring-bound agendas with different designs were created and produced, reflecting CERFER’s visual identity. Each design combines functionality and aesthetics, reinforcing the brand image in every detail.
Roll-ups were developed for CERFER with a modern and attractive design, integrating its new visual identity. These materials stand out for their clarity and professionalism, making them ideal for representing the brand at events and corporate spaces.
Stationery
The letterhead for CERFER was designed with a clean and professional style, incorporating the logo and corporate colors in a gradient to convey modernity and visual coherence across all its institutional communications.
CERFER’s brochure stands out for its dynamic and appealing design, presenting key information about its services and educational purpose, with graphics and colors that reinforce its commitment to the energy transition.
